I'm a sophomore at UW-Parkside. My intended major is Liberal Arts Teaching.This will allow me to teach elementary school but it gives me a wide range of subjects from politics to math to music.
Experience
I want to be a tutor because I really enjoying teaching and try to make it fun. Most teachers just teach kids the formula to solve a problem and don't explain how it actually works. If you teach the reasoning behind why we do the things we do, say in math, then it helps the child understand the problem better and then they can work with it. I've taken AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, and Honors Physics in high school. I've also have taken all the way to trigonometry in high school and college math. I've taken two classes on how to teach math and the theories behind it. I've taken numerous science classes and history classes here at parkside and have even taken a basic music class.
