Experience
I tutored a high school sophomore during college and his grades increased two letter grades over the course of the year of tutoring with me. I did tutor fellow college students in French, and hosted a student from France for a week at school tutoring them in English. I really want to be a tutor because tutoring is not only beneficial for the student, but as well as the tutor. I really get a happy feeling when my students have that "click", where they finally understand and comprehend what they are trying to learn. I also know that not only do my students learn from me, I learn from them. I learn different study habits so I can fine-tune my tutoring styles.
