| Education: | I went to Carthage College for 2 years with a Major in Graphic Design and two minors in Communications and Spanish. I have recently transfered to Herzing University with a Graphic Design major. I currently have a 3.8 GPA. |
| Experience: | I do not have any official tutoring experience, but I have often helped classmates understand concepts and complete assignments. I have also worked with homeschooling families, helping the parents with lessons for elementary age students. I have also worked with special needs children and am willing to tutor any child.
I enjoy helping children learn. I think often times children are told they must learn a concept, but they don't get the chance to understand the "why?" behind it. I like to bring them on a journey to understanding the "Why?" because I think it makes the information more relevant and less frustrating. Relevant college classes taken: -Spanish (101-202) *I also spent 6 weeks in Nicaragua this summer (2011) and picked up some language there as well. -Chemistry -Heritage (Classic literature such as The Odyssey, Inferno, Shakespeare, etc.) -Public Speaking -Applied Mathematics -Intro to Studio 2-D art Since the availability section below does not allow me to write a schedule, I will include it here. I am unavailable on Sundays and on MTRF from 4:15pm-6:45pm. On Wednesdays I am available before 2:45pm and between 4:15pm-6pm. If this confuses you, please just contact me with questions. |
| Hobbies: | In my free time I enjoy photography, music, and, when the weather permits, outdoor activities such as biking or roller blading. I play the piano and am currently teaching myself the guitar. I also spend a bit of my free time just learning. I love looking up information. :) |
